Effects of Eco-Organic Feed on Growth Performance, Biometric Indices, and Nutrient Retention of Gilthead Seabream (Sparus aurata)

This study examined how eco-organic feed affects the growth performance, nutrient efficiency, utilisation, and body composition of gilthead seabream. Six different diets were tested, including a control diet (CONT) without organic ingredients four with 100% ingredients: trout (TRO), seabass (SBS), poultry (POU), mix (MIX), along (ORG) containing 30% fishmeal. The experiment lasted 70 days, fish fed twice day, starting an initial weight 60.5 g. results showed that highest rates observed in ORG CONT Conversely, POU resulted lowest rate, survival value for conversion ratio (FCR). Almost all essential amino acid efficiency values high diets. Still, significant differences noted retention fatty acids across was higher diet, followed by diet. However, economic rate lower CONT, SBS, TRO, MIX. Overall, using animal origin impacted performance seabream, but it is still promising approach.
